Program Analyst

C100 is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, entrepreneur-loving person to join C100 as a 4- or 8-month intern in San Francisco, beginning in May 2019. Each year we host some of Canada and the Silicon Valley’s hottest entrepreneurs, investors and executives at events in the San Francisco/Silicon Valley area. Our goal? To bring the best of Silicon Valley to help accelerate Canada’s innovation economy

About C100

C100 is a non-profit, member-driven association of Canadian thought leaders in the San Francisco Bay Area with a mission to "Accelerate Canada's Innovation Economy." We hope to inspire the most promising Canadian entrepreneurs to build the next generation of successful companies in Canada by providing mentorship, connections and thought leadership.

C100 members are passionate about leveraging their collective experience, expertise and relationships to help mentor and grow a new generation of successful Canadian-led technology companies.

Job Summary

This Internship will support C100's entrepreneurs through curated program initiatives, offering business analysis, operations and data analysis during the 4-8-month term.

A major objective of our program is to introduce our intern to the Silicon Valley technology industry and bridge it back to the Canadian technology industry. We hope that through the projects we have set up that a successful intern will return to Canada with an excellent toolkit of skills to apply to the Canadian workforce as well as deep knowledge of the Silicon Valley ecosystem. The goals and objectives for this term include extensive program analysis, event logistics management, on-site program support, marketing campaign analysis, and technical data sorting and analysis.

Our office and the majority of our programs are located in Downtown San Francisco, so the intern will be immersed in the culture of the city as well as the rich ecosystem of the broader Silicon Valley region. Additionally, our location in the Bay Area allows for easy exploration of one of the most iconic parts of the United States.

Required Skills

  • Must be currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program at a Canadian or American university. Any program.

  • Must have at least 3 years of undergraduate education at the time of application.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously and to work calmly under pressure of deadlines.

  • Must have the ability to project manage, delegate, and manage “up”

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • A passion for technology, interest in Canada and/or expatriate communities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, GSuite, social media and internet applications required.

  • Willing to work nights and weekends as required for key events

  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.

  • Orientation towards taking ownership and pride in teamwork. E.g. default to “I do this because it’s the right thing” vs. “I do this because the boss says to”.

Bonus Skills

  • Design experience, specifically experience with PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator

  • Experience with Salesforce

  • Experience assisting with planning and putting on large events (e.g. conferences)

  • Quantifiable experience with data analytics and research

  • Proficiency in French
