Alex is the Canadian Partner of AngelList where he launched the platform in Canada. Over the first fifteen months, the platform has invested $25m+ into 70+ investments. Alex is the cofounder of TechToronto, an organization which has worked with 400+ Canadian founders over the past year. Alex also runs N49P, where he advises and invests in early stage Canadian companies. Previously, Alex cofounded and sold HomeSav. Alex holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a BCom. from McGill University.

Being an entrepreneur herself, and working to fund and grow early stage companies for over 20 years, Sophie Forest knows venture inside and out. She has been one of Brightspark’s managing partners since 2003 and has led and managed more than 50 investments in technology companies. Prior to joining Brightspark Ventures, she was a partner at CDP Capital Technology Ventures, a subsidiary of la Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec. Sophie was also the recipient of the 2017 NACO Canadian Angel of the Year award.

Andre is one of the first 25 employees at both Uber and Hired (currently VP of Strategic Development). He principally launched both companies in Canada and helped achieve 10x growth at Uber and 50x growth at Hired. He also runs an angel fund part-time called Maple, which is focused on investing in Canadian founders.
