Laura Buhler, a Calgary native, joins C100 with deep experience in business development, strategy, partnerships, and marketing. Prior to C100, Laura worked at Gilt.com (a Hudson's Bay Company) where she led Business Development. Prior to Gilt, she was a project manager at the World Economic Forum and a consultant at McKinsey & Co. in New York and Canada. Since moving to the Bay Area from New York, Laura has enjoyed the easy access to the mountains and the sea! On weekends, find her on the slopes skiing or exploring the region's great trails and wineries.
Head of Operations
Vanessa joins C100 with extensive non-profit development, fundraising and operations experience coupled with hands-on knowledge of startup growth operations to support the C100 community. She attended Arizona State University on a full academic scholarship and graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in International Business Management. Vanessa spends her free time volunteering for a variety of local causes, hiking and biking around the Bay Area and traveling as much as possible.
Megan joins C100 with considerable experience in the non-profit and government sectors, specifically program management and strategic planning. Megan is a graduate of U.C.L.A and U.C. Hastings College of the Law. Following law school, she worked for 7 years in the administration of former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Most recently, she managed programing for the non profit Start Small Think Big as they expanded from NYC to the Bay Area. When not working, Megan enjoys coaching her son's soccer team and exploring her adopted home town of Oakland.
Joshua joins the C100 with experience in the non-profit and technology innovation sectors. He has spent considerable time working with incubators, accelerators, and funding organizations to foster the next-generation of Canadian technology. Joshua's background is in clean technology and sustainability management and graduated with a Master's of Applied Science in Environmental Science and Management. Previously, he has held positions with the Canadian Urban Transit Research & Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission of Asia-Pacific, and the Queen's Institute for Energy and Environmental Policy. Joshua enjoys spending his time volunteering, learning new skills, travelling, and getting outside as much as possible.
Ahmad joins The C100 from the London School of Economics and Political Science where he’s pursuing an MPA, with a specialization in economics. Prior to joining The C100 as a Program Analyst, Ahmad worked in the Office of the Canadian Federal Minister of Families, Children and Social Development as a Policy Intern where he executed on a plan to enhance the strategic use of performance data to improve social programs and services. Ahmad looks to leverage his past experiences to help Canadian companies scale up by learning and understanding what Canada needs to do to attract and retain top talent with go-to-market skills in order to establish more unicorn companies. Ahmad enjoys spending his free time taking part in tech events, planning spontaneous trips and enjoying the outdoors.
Claire joins the C100 as a 5th year student nearing the end of her degree from the University of British Columbia with a background in Marketing and Business Technology Management. Prior to the C100, Claire has had previous experiences at PepsiCo marketing for billion dollar brands, as well as working on various Canadian federal and provincial government projects. Claire is very passionate about leveraging her passions in marketing and technology, with the end goal of creating a tangible social impact for others. Furthermore, Claire loves the city of San Francisco and enjoys spending her time looking for great food places, doing yoga, and singing a-cappella music.
