Event Overview:

Cleantech Conversations is a brand new event, created with the goal of connecting students with some of the worlds leading cleantech investors.

This is the opportunity for passionate Alberta students interested in the cleantech space to chat with some of our C100 Charter Members who are top tier cleantech investors.

Event Format:

A conversation is always more interesting than a presentation. As such, our event will focus around the students. The team of investors will get things kicked off with some background on who they are, what their experience is and then turn the floor over to the students to drive the conversation. Bring any and all questions and ideas and learn from some of the most successful investors in the cleantech industry.

Why you should attend:

In business school, investment banking and consulting are seen as the paradigm of what a successful career looks like.  Other alternatives include working for Fortune 100 companies or top tier professional services firms.  Entrepreneurship or simply working with young high-growth companies are not options that are typically top of mind, nor do they traditionally seem accessible to an undergraduate or post-graduate student.

The world of cleantech is relatively new and touches categories as diverse as power generation, transportation, lighting and water.  Within cleantech itself, there are a number of industries that are facing rapid modernization through the application of technologies and are experiencing some incredible global sucecss.  What are the implications of some of these changes?  What opportunities will they create?  What industries will they impact and how will that affect the opportunity set for recent graduates?

Attend Cleantech Conversations to get up to speed on an industry poised to make groundbreaking changes across the globe.
